Leeb hardness tester? You’ll find the best when you visit grhardnesstester.com. Leeb hardness testers are small and lightweight, perfect for testing parts of all shapes and sizes! Their fast 3-step dynamic operation allows you to test and obtain accurate readings from multiple parts very quickly.
Features of the LEEB tester:
– Highly accurate
– Convenient and easy-to-use
– Versatile and tests a wide range of materials and sizes
– Compact, lightweight, and portable
– Tests in HL, and readings are convertible to Vickers (HV), Brinell (HB), Rockwell (HRB and HRC) and Shore (HSD) hardness scales
Operation:
Testing the HT series Leeb hardness testers are easy and fast, taking just a few seconds. Each simple test consists of pushing a rod, placing the tester, and pressing a button. Configuring the Leeb hardness tester is also simple. Use only two function keys to select between materials, hardness scales or tester orientation.
Application:
The small size and portability of the HT-1000A and HT-2000A Leeb testers allow them to test large and heavy forgings or castings, such as steel mill rolls and turbine housings. In addition, these hardness testers require access to only a small surface area and can be used in all orientations, allowing them to test individual parts of an assembly without the need to take the assembly apart. This leeb tester gives many applications in various industries such as aerospace, automotive, primary metals, metal fabrication, petroleum, chemical, and utilities.
These versatile Leeb hardness testers can be used by anyone, anywhere, to quickly obtain direct accurate readings.
Principle:
The HT-1000A and HT-2000A leeb hardness testers perform Leeb hardness tests. The Leeb Hardness Test method is dynamic, and based on velocity measurement. The Leeb method require a guide tube and impact body. The impact body contains a magnet and tungsten-carbide ball. The test propels the impact body through the guide tube towards the test sample.
When the impact body’s ball is 1 mm from the sample’s surface, the impact body’s magnet induces a voltage into a coil surrounding the guide tube. The impact body will keep moving until it hits the surface, then rebound back in the opposite direction. Then, the impact body’s magnet will pass through the coil again, inducing a second voltage. Both voltages are proportional to the velocity of the impact body.
Leeb hardness value (HL) is determined using the following formula:
HL = (Vb/Va) x 1000
Where Vb is the rebound velocity of impact body and Va is the impact velocity of impact body.
You can purchase LEEB hardness tester accessories when you visit grhardnesstester.com.
